Fall is my favorite time of year and what I consider to be the beginning of an intense baking season! I love fruit in general, but apples are one of my all-round favorites and caramel apples one of my favorite fall treats. I didn’t have fancy sticks this time around, but used forks! I also helped my best friend and her mom press apple cider 🙂

apples for cider pressing!
My caramel apples could use some work… but they sure were tasty
I make these Valentine’s Day cookies almost every year… simple and delicious, and full of love (and jam!)
Another early experiment that I tried was a couple of upside down pineapple cakes, and I think they turned out well, and quite tasty if I remember correctly 🙂
I baked and decorated this fancy cake for a friend’s surprise birthday party!
This might have been about the second cake that I baked… if I recall correctly, I think it was a lemon cake baked in an angel food cake pan! The decoration sure does look like peas on top!!? And I am thinking maybe sprinkled with a bit of lemon zest!?
