Silent Spritz

Who doesn’t love classic Spritz cookies!? So perfectly shaped and bite-sized. I wanted to contribute something to a friend’s silent auction, so I baked up a batch of both classic vanilla as well as some chocolate Spritz cookies and layered them in a transparent paint-like can from Michael’s with colorful papers.

Cookie Gift

I was really excited to use my cookie press gift (let’s face it, they’re basically Spritz cookies!) from a friend to make this cookie package birthday present!

Holiday Cookie Party 2010

One of my friends said, “Are these all your sprinkles!!?!” to which I said, “Um, yeah…. why, do other people not have this many??”ย Apparently not. I never really thought about it… just that I have a lot and I know sprinkles make me happy ๐Ÿ™‚

Good Fortune

I had a lot of fun experimenting with homemade fortune cookies.

fortune 2 I can’t say I have quite perfected the balance between a pliable form to work with while ensuring a crispy end product, but I’m getting there. Creating my own fortunes and planting them inside for others to find is so fun!fortune 1

Sending letters across seas…

I got carried away and decided to make cookie names for family members over in South Korea. I had fun decorating these individually and packaging them up in little baggies with labels.

Unfortunately, I think the box must have gotten opened in customs, because it arrived much much later than I expected it to. The cookies must have been so stale by then ๐Ÿ™

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

While on a trip to Japan, I spotted this tiny little painted stand, not much bigger than a thumb. I think its intended purpose might have been for incense or something, but I knew right away that I saw it as a mini cake stand. ๐Ÿ™‚ I purchased a set of tiny flower cookie cutters in Japan as well, and went to work when I got home to make these tiny little delights.
